I had people write me many times about my ladies faces, and ask me whats up with the ladies faces, why there’s always a woman on your drawings? The answer is far deeper then it seems. In a way I think there’s so much beauty on the feminine figure and I have been always draw to it since I was very little i would drawn up women faces and bodies. 

I think we draw what our eyes catch and luckily ive been always surrounded by women in my family, and they were very strong characters on my daily bases. 

My grandmother was the first one to be the a very strong image, very powerful and very loving, she was the one  bringing all the family together and taking the important decisions, always along with my grampa approval. My seven unties were also a great model of strength and perseverance.

Then I have my mother that was my great inspiration. Im lucky to be a second tattooing generation thanks to her. She started to tattoo in Brazil on the 90s, and when I saw that i had a decision in me to be doing the same work as my mom. She Taught me on my first steps of tattooing, and  gave me the tools to go out there in this wide world, bringing my own eye to the craft of tattooing. 

Im forever thankful to all the things ive learned from this strong women that were in my early life, they showed me the love path through life, and this has no price. 

I dont consider myself a feminist, but i think I am a  reflection of what my family was and I’m just bringing this out to the world, and I hope that by putting this word out there, I can also  encourage many women that feel the way I feel. 

So in answer to the question, i drawn up women, because I’m a woman and I’m surrounded by many great life examples, and the way I draw this ladies is just a reminder of who we were, who we are and who we want to be. We’re stronger than what we know, we bring new life’s to this world, we are care givers, we connect people, we are beautiful just the way we are, and lets not aloud nobody tell us the contrary.

He tenido mucha gente escribiendo me y preguntándome que que pasa con las chicas? ¿Porque siempre hay una mujer en tus dibujos? La respuesta va mas allá de lo que parece. En cierto modo, crep que hay tanta belleza en la figura femenina que siempre me ha atraído desde que era pequeña, dibujaba rostros y cuerpos de mujeres.

Creo que dibujamos los que captan nuestros ojos y por surte he estado siempre rodeada de mujeres en mi familia.

Mi abuela es la primera en ser un ejemplo de fuerza, poder y amor, ella unía a toda la familia y siempre tomaba las decisiones importantes, también con aprobación de mi abuelo. Mis siete tias también son otro modelo de fortaleza y perseverancia.

Luego tengo a mi madre que es mi grande inspiración. He tenido la suerte de ser segunda generación de tatuadores gracias a ella. Ella comenzó a tatuar en Brasil en los años 90, cuando la vi, tome la decisión de hacer el mismo trabajo de mi mama. Ella me enseño los primeros pasos en el tatuaje y me dio las herramientas para salir afuera en el mundo, trayendo mi propio ojo al arte del tattoo. 

Siempre estaré muy agradecida por todas las cosas que prendí de estas mujeres fuertes que estuvieron en mi vida tan pronto, me mostraron el camino del amor, y esto no tiene precio.

No me considero feminista, pero creo que soy un reflejo de mi familia, y solo el hecho de hablar de esto, espero animar y dar coraje a muchas mujeres allí fuera que se sienten como yo. 

Finalmente la respuesta a la pregunta, dibujo mujeres, porque soy mujer, y porque estoy rodeada de grandes ejemplos de vida, y la forma de dibujar estas mujeres refleja lo que fuimos, lo que somos y quienes deseamos ser. Somos mas fuertes de lo que creemos , traemos nuevas vidas a este mundo, somos cuidadoras, conectamos a las personas, somos hermosas tal como somos, y no dejaremos que nadies nos diga es contrario.
