HARPIE NEOTRADITIONAL TATTOO ON THE RIBS
The harpies have different meanings depending in what culture. On the Greek culture they were sent to punish the Thracian King, for his ill treatment of his children. They were mentioned here as hideous creatures with claws and insatiable hunger.
They could also be called spirits of the wind, they were who provided the explanation for the changes of the wind.
I found my favourite mention about them saying that they were beautiful women with bird wings. It’s very nice to think of them as beautiful creatures, very soft and with their hair and wings floating in the wind. This is how I wanted to represent this neotraditional Harpie tattoo, a creature with character but also very soft and feminine.
